Lisa & Michelle from Inkygoodness made contact and asked if I’d like to join forces with them for their latest exhibition. I was already halfway through editing the fourth issue of Ammo so it seemed like the perfect place for a launch party. The venue they picked was the East Gallery in Brick Lane, London.
Best of all there was a bit of crossover with the artists taking part in my magazine and the Inky exhibition so I got to meet a lot of artists I’d only ever chatted to via email/twitter.
I decided to make some bespoke outer covers featuring my own illustrations for the exhibition. The covers were printed on 300gsm card then hand cut, folded and stuck together by me.
The night was a big success with a bustling crowd all night long and I sold out of magazines in no time at all. This was the start of a long line of collaborations between Ammo and Inkygoodness.
